FILM FESTIVAL TITLE PRODUCER FF3-06 A Novel Technique in the Treatment of Corneal Endothelial Failure: The Endoart Ruth LAPID-GORTZAK Netherlands The golden standard for treating corneal endothelial failure is the transplantation of corneal donor tissue. The Endoart (Eye Yon Medical, Rehovot, Israel) is a novel device that is basically a dome-shaped, transparent, thin, biocompatible barrier that is placed against the endothelial side of the cornea. The barrier prevents fluid gradient across the swollen cornea, allowing it to clear. It does not interfere with total corneal metabolism because of the diameter of the implant which does not completely cover the cornea. This device, which is under evaluation in a multicenter first-in-human safety study after full development will be a readily available, scalable, and cheaper alternative to tissue banking donors. We present surgical cases from our study cohort. FF3-07 Arcuate Keratotomy in Femtosecond Laser-assisted Cataract Surgery Made Easy Kelvin WAN Hong Kong SAR, China We describe our femtosecond laser-assisted arcuate keratotomy (FSAK) technique using a single steep- axis marking followed by a single AK on the steep axis paired to the main phacoemulsification wound. Our technique utilizes a single reference mark anywhere along the limbus. The corneal analyzer automatically calculates the angle between a reference line drawn from this mark and the steep-axis. The angle from this reference mark is used intraoperatively to locate the steep axis for FSAK, eliminating the error from tilted head positions during conventional axis marking under slit-lamp. The FSAK arc length (450 um, 8 mm arc diameter) ranges from 30–80 degrees according to the preoperative keratometric astigmatism. Our technique effectively treated low to moderate corneal astigmatism that remained stable at 5 years postoperatively. FF3-08 Banana on the Eye for Peripheral Ulcerative Keratitis Sumanjaya SISKA Indonesia Peripheral Ulcerative Keratitis (PUK) is a crescent-shaped, destructive lesion on the perilimbal cornea which approximately 50% of its occurrence is associated with collagen vascular disease. A 32-year-old female presented with sterile perforation on the nasal peripheral cornea, with visual acuity 6/60 phNI, shallow anterior chamber and iris retracted to the site of perforation. The patient was later diagnosed as having SLE and received banana-shaped eccentric keratoplasty. 3 months after keratoplasty, corneal integrity was restored, visual acuity was 6/7.5 with minimal astigmatism on correction (Sph 0.75 Cyl –0.50x150) and no sign of graft rejection. Eccentric PK was an effective method in treating PUK in the short-term period. Compliance with systemic therapy and close follow-up was highly suggested to prevent graft rejection. FF3-09 Bilateral Sclerokeratoplasty in a Pregnant Lady with Peripheral Ulcerative Keratitis Rahul Kumar BAFNA India 24-year-old pregnant female with bilateral peripheral ulcerative keratitis planned for sclerokeratoplasty under general anesthesia. Intravenous steroid injections were given for fetal lung maturity. Sclerokeratoplasty was done in both the eyes in the same setting with optical grade tissues from a single donor. The patient followed up after childbirth with visual acuity in both eyes of 6/18 and intraocular pressure within normal limits. 83
