Timothy SULLIVAN Australia 2021 SNEC NAMED LECTURES Neil MILLER USA Richard Fan Lectureship in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences Periocular Ocular Trauma Prof. Timothy Sullivan is a former president of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery and the Asia-Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is on the board of the International Thyroid Eye Disease Society. Prof. Sullivan has over 130 papers published in peer-reviewed journals, several book chapters, and 400 presentations at national and international meetings. He is on the editorial boards of Clinical Experimental Ophthalmology , Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery , and the Asia-Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology . Prof. Sullivan practices at Terrace Eye Centre in Brisbane and teaches as professor of ophthalmology at the University of Queensland. He has also conducted the Orbital Clinic at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Walsh Professor of Neuro-Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, The Johns Hopkins Hospital. President of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society from 2000 to 2002 and Chairman of its Executive Board from 2002 to 2004, he was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) in 2009. Prof. Miller has authored or co-authored over 540 articles, 93 chapters, and 13 books, and has given 59 named lectures around the world. He currently is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Neuro- Ophthalmology . Many of his previous fellows and residents hold faculty positions at major institutions throughout the United States and around the world. 29
